Meet Chilean Wine Expert Juan Carlos Galvis, Bristol Jeffersonville, Thursday March 4th 
On Thursday, March 4 from 5 to 9 p.m., the Bristol Bar and Grille is kicking off its Viva Chile: Wine and Food Nights with a visit from Chilean wine expert Juan Carlos Galvis at the Jeffersonville location. Galvis has extensive global experience in the wine and spirits industry and will be available to answer questions from guests about Chilean wines. A special menu of Chilean specialties and a wine list selected by Master Sommelier Scott Harper will be available during Viva Chile: Wine and Food Nights, and the celebration of wine and cuisine continues at the Jeffersonville location through Saturday, March 6. Juan Carlos Galvis has over 13 years of experience in the wine and spirits industry, both in the United States and abroad. The native of Bogota, Colombia has traveled and lived in a variety of locales throughout Europe, South America and the Caribbean and studied International Business and International Studies before going to work for Bodegas Torres for 4 years in both Spain and Chile. He is currently a regional manager for Dreyfus, Ashby & Co., representing the best offerings of the world’s wine-growing regions.

Viva Chile: Wine and Food Nights Menu
Appetizers-Humitas: Chilean Tamales made with fresh corn, basil, and onions ($7).
Fried Empanadas stuffed with seasoned beef filling ($7).
Entrées-Pastel de Choclo: Chilean corn pie with casserole of chicken and beef topped with corn mixture and baked in the oven until golden brown ($12).
Iquique Style King Clip: King clip marinated in turmeric, garlic and vinegar. Seared and served with pan-fried potatoes and topped with the pan juices ($16).
Chilean Asado: A mixed grill of chorizo, beef flank steak and chicken. Served with cilantro pebre and ensalada Chilean with thinly sliced onions, tomatoes and chilies ($17).
Dessert-Drunken Pears, Pears poached in red wine with lightly whipped cream and red wine syrup ($5).

Bristol Downtown Bloody Mary Bar
The Bristol Downtown is kicking off their new Bloody Mary Bar with a fundraiser benefiting young musicians.
Beginning February 20th-21st, proceeds will benenfit the Vincent Nold Musicians Fund. Come out, enjoy a spicy cocktail, made the way you want it. Vodka shots range from 5.50 to 8.00 per shot, add mix, olives and all the fixings for a great beverage.
The Bloody Mary Bar will be available on Saturday’s from 11 am - 3 pm, and Sunday’s from 1 pm - 4 pm.
